Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our defence and security practice. You’ll contribute to analysis and design of large industrial facilities, work across RIBA stages, and engage with UK nuclear and defence clients.

Hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office, occasional site visits. You’ll need an accredited MEng in Civil Engineering, ideally Chartered, and a track record in seismic, blast, or finite element analysis.

Qualifications

• Good all-round technical design expertise using British, American and international standards, and/or Eurocodes.
• Proven ability to manage projects and preparation of project deliverables, including managing quality, budget, programme and resources.
• Good understanding of structural theory, with proven problem solving ability.
• Proven ability in preparation of bids and proposals, and developing good working relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and design large industrial facilities (power station buildings, large manufacturing facilities, dockyards).
• Manage projects and deliverables, including budget, programme and resources.
• Prepare bids and proposals and develop strong client relationships.
• Support multi-discipline engineering delivery in highly regulated environments.
