Job summary

Fortiva is seeking a Commercial Manager in Basingstoke to lead the commercial team, manage multiple NEC contracts, and provide strategic commercial advice. The role offers a competitive salary, car allowance, and flexible benefits within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in managing the commercial performance of projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC3/4 forms of contract.
• Proven track record of leading a commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Commercial Team ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Oversee NEC3/4 and bespoke contract management of multiple contracts.
• Identify and notify Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Manage supply chain contracts and agreements.
• Provide cash forecasts and take responsibility for cash flow forecasting.
• Create and manage CVRs.
• Establish and manage monthly project reviews.
• Ensure projects are executed in line with the financial plan and contracts.
• Manage the dispute and defects process with Clients and Subcontractors.
• Oversee invoicing and manage overdue applications or debts.
• Approve quotations and ensure contract orders are in place.
• Prepare BoQ, measurements, and valuations of works for applications, variations, and final accounts with Clients.
• Maintain control of Subcontractor s accounts and minimise the cost of any variations.
• Develop a monthly senior project review process with the Senior Commercial Manager.
• Aid with the pre-tender review process.
