Job summary

Fitch is seeking a Service Reliability Engineer to embed with Fitch Ratings development squads in our Manchester office. You will drive reliability, scalability, and DevOps excellence across CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Strong emphasis on observability, security, and AI-enabled operations will shape the role. You will mentor engineers, partner with development squads, and contribute to platform initiatives within CI&PE.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SRE/DevOps experience in cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, security gates and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of reliable, scalable services with Kubernetes and modern deployment patterns.
• Mentor engineers and set best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with development squads and operations to design and evolve CI/CD tooling and governance.
• Own observability with Datadog: define SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and alerting, reducing incidents.
