Job summary

UK Space Jobs is seeking a Space Propulsion Engineer in Guildford, offering a hybrid work model. The role spans gas, chemical and electric propulsion, with hands-on hardware build and testing alongside design and analysis work.

The successful candidate will contribute to spacecraft propulsion systems through a mix of hands-on assembly, testing, modelling and presentation of results, joining a fast-moving team in a challenging space environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Several years of industry experience, ideally in space propulsion.
• Ability to produce detailed reports for customers and stakeholders.
• Experience with mathematical modelling or simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Scope and deliver propulsion system projects.
• Interface with customers for propulsion solutions.
• Perform initial and detailed system analysis and design.
• Document design changes via Engineering Change Control.
