Job summary

Expert Employment in the United Kingdom is seeking a Test Engineer to join a highly skilled team focused on thermal, mechanical and propulsion test work for space applications. You will specify, fabricate, build and execute Hot Fire Tests using propellant feed systems, with GSE and EGSE, and contribute to thrust system design.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering (or Physics) and practical hands‑on experience with rocket engines or fluidic control

Qualifications

• Experience in test engineering for propulsion or space systems is preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical fitting and testing experience.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in high-energy test environments.

Responsibilities

• Specification, fabrication, build and execution of Hot Fire Tests using propellant and pressurant feed systems, GSE and EGSE.
• Design of thrust systems and space engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and safety standards.
