Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking a Solution Architect for a six-month initial contract with view to extend. The role is hybrid, with two days on-site, and offers a daily rate of £575–£600 outside IR35.

The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of technology solutions across finance and back-office domains, bridging business strategy and technical execution to improve efficiency, control, and data visibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in supply chain or retail environments.
• Experience with finance/back-office systems and data governance.
• Strong stakeholder management and supplier governance skills.
• Experience designing integrations (APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures).
• Experience designing cloud platforms, primarily AWS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Design end-to-end architectures across finance and back-office platforms.
• Own TDA submissions from creation through to approval.
• Contribute to architecture forums, developing strategy and principles.
• Document technical processes and designs per architecture standards.
• Provide architectural governance across projects and programmes.
• Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, vendors, and tools.
