Job summary

Sustain Recruit seeks a skilled Solution Architect to join its Technology function in London hybrid role. You will design scalable, secure solutions across a complex enterprise app landscape, translating business requirements into robust technical designs and guiding delivery teams.

You will collaborate with Domain Architects, engineers and product teams while ensuring alignment with architecture standards and governance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture or a senior technical design role.
• Strong background in software engineering or development.
• Experience designing integrations across enterprise applications.
• Proficient in API design, messaging patterns and system integration.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native services.
• Good understanding of security architecture and data protection.
• Experience with relational databases, ideally SQL Server.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD and modern delivery approaches.
• Understanding non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, resilience and security.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into practical technical solution designs.
• Create architecture documentation including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), integration specifications and technical design documentation.
• Guide implementation with software engineering and delivery teams.
• Design end-to-end integration solutions across complex enterprise landscapes.
• Define API contracts and integration patterns for reliable connectivity.
• Document data flows with security and data protection in mind.
• Participate in architecture reviews and evaluate build-versus-buy options.
• Support POCs and technical investigations to validate approaches.
