Job summary

RE Partners is seeking experienced Software Reliability Engineers to drive CI, testing, and safe automated deployments. This role emphasizes hands-on engineering with roughly 70% coding and configuration in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

The position focuses on targeting development teams, implementing CI/CD pipelines, updating dependencies, and improving observability and security practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) across multiple test frameworks.
• Ability to drive automation testing strategies with AI support.
• Proficiency in JVM languages and/or TypeScript.
• Strong coding skills and safe practices for critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted engagements with development teams to achieve safe, rapid release cadence.
• Wrap applications with a suite of tests and smoke tests for deployments.
• Source and integrate test data, implement data masking in lower environments.
• Upgrade runtimes and containerize applications where feasible.
• Update libraries to latest major versions and ensure dependencies stay current.
• Introduce best practices for source control, branch management, and code reviews.
• Ensure security patterns, secrets management, authentication and authorization.
