Job summary

easyJet is seeking a Software Engineer to join our London-based engineering teams. This is a hands-on role in a hybrid setup, contributing across the full software lifecycle to deliver scalable systems for one of Europe’s leading airlines.

You’ll design, develop and operate cloud-native applications using AWS, .NET and Java, collaborating with product owners and fellow engineers to turn business priorities into reliable software. A growth mindset and curiosity are essential.

Qualifications

• Commercial software engineering experience in a modern technology environment.
• Strong experience with .NET and/or Java.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience working with APIs, distributed systems and modern software architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control and cloud-based development workflows.
• Strong debugging, analytical and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and support production software.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Build and support applications using AWS, .NET and Java technologies.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation activities.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot issues and support production systems.
• Improve software quality through code reviews, testing, observability and reliability practices.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering colleagues to deliver valuable solutions.
• Contribute to engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing and release management.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools thoughtfully to improve development effectiveness and software quality.
