easyJet Airline Company PLC is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer in Luton, offering hybrid working with 60% office time. You’ll join an agile squad building and operating scalable software that supports Europe’s leading airline.

The role covers full SDLC from design to deployment and ongoing support, with opportunities to explore AI-assisted tooling. The successful candidate will have strong .NET/Java experience, AWS cloud skills, and a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality software

Qualifications

• Commercial software engineering experience in a modern tech environment.
• Strong experience with .NET and/or Java.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems and modern architectures.
• Comfort with shared codebases, automated testing and code review.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn new tech.
• Interest in AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and support production software.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Build and support applications using AWS, .NET and Java.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot issues and support production systems.
• Improve software quality through reviews, testing, observability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering to deliver solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing and release management.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve development effectiveness and quality.
