Benefact Group is hiring a Software Engineer for our Gloucester office. You will design, build, and maintain high-quality software aligned with Engineering Excellence standards, collaborating with product owners, architects, analysts, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver reliable, secure systems.

As part of a multiskilled scrum team, you’ll understand requirements, identify risks early, and deliver high-quality outcomes, while adopting modern practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in software engineering principles, Azure and .NET, and modern development practices.
• Experience delivering solutions in Agile environments with workload management.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and defect-resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, secure, and maintainable software following standards.
• Participate in solution design, Agile planning, estimation and discussions.
• Support reliability and continuous improvement using debugging and automation.
• Champion quality, create automated tests, and collaborate with QA teams.
