Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a growing team in London. You will automate operations, build reliable systems, and collaborate with development to improve service health.

You will work across Linux/Windows environments, containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk). Hybrid working is offered with on-call duties and opportunities to shape critical missions.

Qualifications

• Software engineering approach to automate operations and improve reliability.
• Experience with Linux and Windows command lines (Bash/PowerShell).
• Knowledge of container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk).
• Familiarity with databases such as Oracle SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain essential services that underpin mission applications, improving availability and performance.
• Be part of the 24/7 on-call rota with overtime benefits.
• Automate repetitive tasks and advise development teams on best practices.
• Design and deploy monitoring products and bespoke tools for observability.
• Engage with the wider DevOps/SRE community within the organisation.
