Job summary

Click Recruiting is seeking a Service Manager / Scrum Master in Sheffield for a 3- to 6-month sickness-cover contract. The role splits 50/50 between service management and Scrum Master responsibilities, supporting a higher education platform.

Hybrid working with a remote start is available, starting November 2026, with duties spanning IT service delivery, incident and change management, and agile leadership.

Qualifications

• ITIL-aligned service delivery experience.
• Scrum Master capability with agile delivery.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration experience.
• Experience balancing operational stability with continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation and delivery of IT services on the SITS platform.
• Manage incidents, problems and changes; ensure issues are resolved and performance maintained.
• Monitor service performance and provide accurate reporting on service levels.
• Coordinate with technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
• Adhere to ITIL processes and governance requirements; support platform stability and improvements.
• Act as Scrum Master for development work, facilitate ceremonies, remove blockers.
• Coach teams in Agile principles and drive continuous improvement.
• Support backlog refinement and prioritisation with Head of Applications.
• Balance BAU priorities with development activity to ensure delivery.
