Job summary

Kingfisher is seeking a Service Design & Introduction Manager to lead the design and deployment of new technology services into live operation, ensuring they are operable, supported and aligned with business needs.

The role collaborates across IT projects within Group Technology and the wider business, with a hybrid working model and a requirement to be in the office roughly 12 days per month at our Southampton, Yeovil or Lille locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Service Management, Service Transition, Service Design or Service Introduction within a complex technology environment.
• Good understanding of ITIL practices and how they support the service lifecycle.
• Experience working across Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery approaches.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills across technology, business and suppliers.
• Experience producing or assuring service management artefacts and operational readiness documentation in large-scale tech environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Service Design & Introduction approach across projects, ensuring service requirements are embedded early.
• Develop and maintain service design documentation, acceptance criteria and readiness artefacts.
• Partner with tech, business and suppliers to shape fit-for-purpose services.
• Build relationships across teams with clear communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Assess operational readiness and advise on go-live, warranty support and service acceptance.
