Focus Group is seeking a Service Design Consultant to support our Service Design Architect, Pre-sales and Delivery teams. The role blends scoping, bids and tenders with hands-on service design and handover to live operation.

You will capture customer requirements, adapt standard services for key clients and craft tender responses that highlight business benefits and cost savings. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in an MSP environment.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Working understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, AVD, Windows Server, storage and networking.
• Awareness of cyber security concepts including Zero Trust, SASE, CASB, EDR/XDR, SOC, vulnerability testing, ISO 27001.
• Experience with MSP tools like IT Glue, Datto and ServiceNow.
• Strong proficiency in AI and automation.
• Experience contributing to technical solutions for SME to Enterprise businesses.
• Working knowledge of ITIL.
• Experience of bids and tenders, including written responses and bid teams.
• Strong writing and confident presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness of managed service pricing, margins and contracts.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsabilités

• Join meetings and workshops with customers to capture business and service requirements.
• Work with architects, product owners, sales and tech teams to ensure services meet needs and are commercially feasible.
• Review sales proposals to ensure operational feasibility with service teams.
• Build co-managed versions of standard services and adapt for customers.
• Write compelling tender responses and presentations outlining benefits and cost savings.
• Lead design workshops before/after the sale and participate in bid teams.
• Produce and maintain Service Design and Service Description documents.
• Support handover of won opportunities to delivery, project and support teams.
• Feedback learnings to Product Owners and the Service Design Architect to improve services.
