Job summary

SYSTRA Ltd is seeking a Senior Town Planner in the UK to lead projects, manage Consultants, Graduates and Apprentices, and ensure delivery within time and budget. The role requires strong communication, planning expertise, and a track record in multi-discipline project delivery.

You will contribute to winning work and uphold safety and quality standards while collaborating with clients and internal teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead on projects and manage teams.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and regulations.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Experience in planning consultancy or local authority beneficial.
• Ability to manage budgets and timescales on multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and manage Consultants, Graduates and Apprentices.
• Monitor performance against contractual obligations and quality.
• Oversee design production and approvals in line with processes.
• Communicate project requirements clearly to all team members.
• Act as Work Package Manager on small to medium projects.
• Support work winning and client engagement where required.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
