Job summary

Network Rail in London is recruiting for a senior role within Digital Data and Technology to manage third-party funded telecoms contracts. You will lead negotiations, oversee contract lifecycle and drive commercial value across funded projects.

The role requires degree-level education, strong commercial acumen, and proven experience in telecoms contracting and railway industry conditions. Flexible/hybrid working is considered, with a Band 3C salary package.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Commercial experience within the telecoms industry.
• Experience of negotiating third party funded contracts.
• Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract.
• Experience of resolution of construction contract disputes.
• Knowledge of 3rd party funded projects.
• Excellent Business Acumen with strong commercial focus and financially astute.
• Profit and loss management experience.
• Experience of managing and developing a team of staff.
• Good communication skills both written and oral.
• Experience in Finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project cost management and influence procurement processes.
• Lead contracting negotiations with telecoms partners to secure value-for-money.
• Manage lifecycle of third-party funded contracts and commercial reviews.
• Support maximising Network Rail's commercial position on third-party projects.
• Monitor contract reporting and explain variances with mitigation actions.
• Governance improvements to contract processes for funded workstreams.
• Provide guidance on contract changes and approve actions within authority.
• Identify and report contractual claims and support dispute resolution.
