Job summary

Edenred Paytech in the UK is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in a hybrid London/Swindon role. You will lead a cross-functional team, guide software architecture, and contribute hands-on development of scalable, secure systems using Java and cloud-native technologies.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and work with Product Owners to turn business requirements into robust software while ensuring quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Java Developer in agile environments.
• Strong proficiency in Java (17+), Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications using Java.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural principles, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to translate requirements into solutions.
• Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
• Drive DevOps adoption, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and maintainable across the lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and backlog refinement.
