Job summary

Edenred PayTech, a global payments technology company, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a hybrid role based in Swindon or London. You will lead automated testing across enterprise systems, mentor junior engineers, and drive QA standards to ensure high-quality releases.

Ideal candidates have strong experience with TDD/BDD, AWS and CI/CD tools, and a track record of delivering robust testing in fast-paced environments, while collaborating across squads and teams.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience testing enterprise-level systems, including microservice architectures and web applications.
• Strong experience in one or more of: TDD/BDD, performance and load testing, security testing, UI and accessibility testing.
• Experience with data creation and curation and familiarity with DevOps practices and principles.
• Beneficial experience with AWS services, JUnit, Cucumber, XML/JSON, large databases, and tools such as SVN/Git, Ant/Maven, Tomcat, Apache, and Jenkins.
• Ability to weigh complex options and make sound decisions.
• Ability to articulate ideas and challenge the status quo.
• Strong organisation skills, including planning work and tracking progress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical issues and solutions.
• Self-starter with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of automated tests, including functional and non-functional tests, to ensure feature quality.
• Take technical ownership of testing approaches and drive improvements to QA processes and standards.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to more junior QA engineers and spread best practice across squads and teams.
• Ensure software meets or exceeds published metrics and quality benchmarks.
• Proactively contribute to the technical evolution of our products.
• Work as one team to ensure deliveries are on time and to a high quality.
