Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Maidenhead, UK, is seeking a Senior Local Trial Manager to lead local/UK management of clinical trials on a hybrid basis (3 days on-site). The role focuses on start-up through database lock, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance, with preference for Oncology experience.

You will mentor CTA/Site Manager roles, contribute to process improvements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver trials on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• BA or BSc in Life Sciences or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
• Minimum 3 years UK clinical trial experience preferred; oncology experience advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year demonstrable Project Management experience required.
• Proven understanding of drug development process including GCP and local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and oral English with strong communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to commute 3 days per week to J&J Tempo Maidenhead.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the MCO for country protocol and site feasibility assessments; set start-up timelines.
• Lead trial activities in compliance with SOPs and regulations; ensure recruitment targets and high-quality data.
• Act as subject matter expert for assigned protocols; develop therapeutic knowledge.
• Primary country contact for the trial; maintain relationships with investigators and internal partners.
• Maintain trial management systems; use study tools and reports to analyze progress.
• Monitor country progress and initiate CAPA when deviations occur; communicate progress to global teams.
• Review Monitoring Visit Reports; approve IRAS submissions during the trial.
