Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is supporting a growing accountancy practice recruiting a Semi Senior Accountant. You will handle accounts, tax and advisory work while progressing toward a professional qualification, with hybrid working and a supportive study environment.

The role offers exposure to varied clients, statutory accounts, tax returns and management reporting, sharing deadlines with a proactive, client‑facing approach.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and studying ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years' UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of Xero or other cloud accounting software.
• Iris experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare Corporation Tax, Self Assessment Tax Returns, P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax reports.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Support clients with day-to-day accounting and tax queries.
• Identify tax planning and business improvement opportunities.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Assist managers with advisory projects and ensure deadlines are met.
