Job summary

Adele Carr Recruitment Limited is representing a growing accountancy practice in Liverpool seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant. You will join the accounts team to broaden your experience and support professional studies within a supportive environment.

You will work with a varied client portfolio, handling year-end and management accounts, tax work, and provide Xero support. A hybrid working model, full study support, and ongoing development are offered to help you progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero; CCH advantageous).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Keen to learn and progress within a growing firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts and management accounts.
• Calculate corporation tax and personal tax Liabilities.
• Provide tax planning and business advice support to clients.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted contact.
• Provide Xero support and training to clients.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Collaborate across the wider business to deliver excellent client service.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join its expanding accounts team. The Role

You'll work closely with senior members of the accounts team, supporting a diverse range of clients while developing your technical skills and building long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing year-end accounts and management accounts
• Calculating corporation tax and personal tax liabilities
• Supporting clients with tax planning and business advice
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
• Providing Xero support and training to clients
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Working collaboratively across the wider business to deliver an excellent client service

About You

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience with cloud accounting software (knowledge of CCH is advantageous)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Keen to learn, develop and progress within a growing firm
