Job summary

Agilent Technologies is seeking a SAP BTP Technical Lead for a hybrid role focusing on establishing a Center of Excellence and setting governance for SAP BTP, extensions, and integrations in a modern ERP landscape.

You will lead architecture for side-by-side extensions, drive reference architectures, and mentor teams across BAU and transformation programs. This role emphasizes secure, scalable BTP solutions and strong collaboration with EA and IT leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Software Eng or related field.
8+ years of experience in SAP architecture, design, and development.
3+ years of hands-on SAP BTP experience with core services (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, HANA Cloud, Event Mesh).
Experience supporting S/4HANA transformation programs in brownfield or hybrid environments.
Strong understanding of clean core principles and SAP extensibility patterns for S/4HANA.
Proven experience delivering SAP extensions/integrations for ERP/large SAP landscapes.
Effective communication with executives and technical teams; translate strategy into architecture and direction.
Masters degree in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

Help establish and operationalize the SAP BTP COE with standards and governance.
Define SAP BTP role in enterprise architecture, supporting S/4HANA and adjacent platforms.
Develop reference architectures and guardrails for extensions, integrations, workflow, and data services.
Partner with EA, IT leadership, and delivery teams to align BTP investments with priorities.
Lead architecture and development for side-by-side extensions on BTP, aligned with clean core.
Guide teams on in-app vs side-by-side extensibility and decision criteria.
Design compliant extension patterns to reduce core customizations and ease upgrades.
Ensure BTP solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with S/4 and cloud operating models.
Lead end-to-end solution design across BTP services (Integration, Extension, Build, Event Mesh, HANA Cloud).
Design and oversee SAP-to-non-SAP integrations using API-led, event-driven, and hybrid patterns.
Support development teams with architecture reviews and reusable assets.
Contribute to prototyping, design, and troubleshooting for critical initiatives.
Define enterprise integration and eventing patterns using SAP components.
