Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK seeks an Associate Director in Bioresources Mechanical Engineering to lead design across projects from feedstock to energy recovery, ensuring technical excellence. You will mentor engineers, manage deliverables, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams while traveling within the UK and occasionally abroad.

The role offers a hybrid working model with frequent client engagement. Experience in bioprocess equipment such as pumps and thickeners, plus knowledge of UK design

Qualifications

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer with degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience leading large bioresources mechanical design projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK design codes, CDM, and DSEAR.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in Bioresources Mechanical Engineering design.
• Lead delivery of mechanical design on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Oversee technical deliverables including reports, drawings, calculations.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and support bid proposals.
