Job summary
WSP is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Utilities Engineer to join our Roads team based in the London & South East. You’ll work with a range of professionals to improve local and strategic road networks and deliver utility connections, diversions, and infrastructure strategies across UK schemes.
The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, highways design experience per DMRB, and proficiency with Civils3D/AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM environments and openness to digital tools such as Python or
Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Highways design experience in accordance with DMRB/TSRGD/Traffic Signs Manual.
- Proficiency in Civils3D/AutoCAD; Bentley/OpenRoads/MicroStation knowledge is advantageous.
- Familiarity with BIM environments such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Forma, and CDEs.
- Interest in digital automation and computational tools (AI, Python, C++, Dynamo).
- Attained or working towards professional qualifications such as IEng.
Responsibilities
- Deliver utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies for UK schemes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Prepare designs and specifications per DMRB.
- Produce technical reports and undertake site visits.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to measure carbon using WSP Future Ready.
