Job summary

CMR in London is seeking a Risk Manager to join the Project Controls team and lead risk management across a major UK infrastructure programme. You will own risk registers, run workshops with Planning, Commercial and Cost teams, and deliver robust risk insights to support informed decision-making.

This project-focused role requires expertise in QSRA, QCRA, risk modelling and contingency planning, with a proactive culture and opportunity to shape risk methodologies and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a project risk management role within major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project risk management methodologies and quantitative risk analysis.
• Experience with QSRA and QCRA.
• Experience maintaining risk registers and risk models.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate data into insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project risk management across complex infrastructure projects.
• Own and maintain project risk registers with defined causes, events, impacts, probability, consequence and mitigation actions.
• Facilitate risk workshops with stakeholders across project teams.
• Challenge project teams to ensure risks are identified, assessed, quantified and managed.
• Undertake QSRA and QCRA to assess uncertainty impacts.
• Develop and maintain risk models incorporating cost and schedule uncertainty.
• Support risk allowances, contingency and management reserves with robust quantitative analysis.
• Analyse project cost and schedule exposure and provide insight into probabilities and outcomes.
• Integrate risk information with cost and schedule data for a consolidated view.
• Work with Planning and Project Controls to link risk, uncertainty and critical path.
• Monitor mitigation effectiveness and changes in risk exposure.
• Produce risk reporting, dashboards and management information.
• Provide risk input into forecasts and change management.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities and assess accordingly.
• Support risk scenario development and sensitivity analysis.
• Maintain risk governance and auditable data.
• Work with senior client stakeholders and project managers to promote a proactive risk culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project risk methodologies and tools.
• Support Senior Risk Managers in delivering high-quality risk services.
