Job summary

Law Staff Ltd on the Hertfordshire/Essex border is seeking a detail-driven Risk and Compliance Lawyer with 2–6 years' experience to develop expertise across data protection, AML, regulatory compliance and risk management.

You will handle day-to-day data protection matters, manage subject access requests, support onboarding, conduct AML/KYC checks, and assist with ongoing AML compliance in line with UK regulations. Hybrid working after probation.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years' experience in a law firm.
• Law degree or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented and methodical.
• Willing to learn and develop within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handling day to day data protection compliance matters
• Managing subject access requests and supporting the response to potential data breaches
• Supporting the firms onboarding processes
• Conducting AML and KYC checks
• Assist with ongoing AML compliance in line with UK regulatory requirements
• Manage and respond to risk queries
• Supporting and drafting responses to client complaints
• File audits
• Compliance reviews
