Job summary

Law Staff Ltd invites a detail-driven Risk and Compliance Lawyer to join our client on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. With 2–6 years' experience in a similar role, you will develop expertise in data protection, AML, regulatory compliance and risk management, supporting onboarding and client engagements.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in a law firm or equivalent in a risk/compliance role.
• Law degree or equivalent is required.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach are essential.
• Willing to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handling day to day data protection compliance matters
• Managing subject access requests and supporting the response to potential data breaches
• Supporting the firm's onboarding processes
• Conducting AML and KYC checks
• Assist with ongoing AML compliance in line with UK regulatory requirements
• Manage and respond to risk queries
• Supporting and drafting responses to client complaints
• File audits
• Compliance reviews
