Job summary

Howden Group is seeking an organised, proactive RFP professional to join our Global RFP Function on a fixed-term maternity-cover basis. The initial appointment is 11 months with potential move to a permanent role from 2027.

You will coordinate proposals, collaborate with brokers and subject-matter experts, and drive high-quality submissions across client opportunities in Howden Re. The role combines hands-on delivery with developing the function and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in bids, proposals and tenders for clients.
• Strong editing and proofreading to ensure clear messaging.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Ability to craft client-focused responses.
• Familiarity with RFP processes and templates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proposals from qualification to final submission.
• Develop tailored, persuasive responses with brokers.
• Engage product specialists and analytics teams.
• Draft and refine content for client messaging.
• Ensure quality and compliance with templates.
• Track deadlines and risk, escalate issues.
• Capture learnings from post-submission reviews.
• Provide day-to-day operational support across RFP functions.
