Asda Home Office is seeking a Retail Communications & Activity Coordinator to deliver clear, timely communications to Retail and Depot teams and support central activity planning. You will ensure retail-facing activity is planned efficiently with stores receiving the right information at the right time, enabling exceptional customer service and smooth store and depot operations.

• Proven experience in Retail or Internal communications at a large organisation.
• Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Flexible to respond quickly to urgent communication needs and changing priorities.
• Collaborative with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to communication challenges.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute retail communications, ensuring messaging is clear, concise, and relevant for store teams.
• Coordinate reactive communications by working cross-functionally with key teams such as Commercial, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Customer and People.
• Engage with stakeholders to create streamlined activity plans.
• Support the management of the Activity budget.
• Manage communication timelines ensuring that all messages are timely, consistent, and in line with both planned and reactive activity.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on communication effectiveness, gathering feedback from store teams to improve future messaging.
• Be part of the on call rota being available to support the delivery of communication if needed at the weekend and Bank Holidays (one weekend per month, extra payment available)
