Qualifications

  • PhD in neuroscience or related discipline; equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability in research with publications.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and in vitro models.
  • Experience with viability/toxicity assays, immunostaining and imaging.
  • Ability to design, run and analyse quantitative assays with proper controls.
  • Strong written and oral communication; ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with neural/glial, BBB/endothelial or organoid models; ex vivo systems desirable.
  • Desirable: fungal/microbial exposure assays or live-cell imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain neural, glial, immune and BBB-relevant in vitro models.
  • Develop fungal exposure assays across live, arrested or non-viable states.
  • Measure host compatibility using viability, toxicity and inflammatory readouts.
  • Coordinate with project teams and contribute to data analyses and reporting.
  • Maintain detailed records and contribute to publications and progress reports.
