Job summary

Brio Real Estate, a Blackstone portfolio company, is seeking a Finance & Operations Associate to support loan servicing and onboarding for a growing portfolio of complex debt investments secured by commercial real estate. The role requires precise attention to detail and a proactive approach to onboarding, draw funding, and analytics.

You will interact with servicers, asset managers, and financing counterparties, ensuring accurate documentation, timely settlements, and robust portfolio

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related discipline (CPA a plus).
• 3-5 years of loan servicing experience in commercial real estate or related fields.
• Experience with real estate finance structures—senior/mezzanine loans and intercreditor agreements.
• Strong contract review and negotiation skills for complex documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Word and Adobe.
• Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive workflows with accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review asset collection information from servicers for accuracy and accrual alignment.
• Match invoices to the system of record and resolve accrual discrepancies prior to payments.
• Approve and book monthly and quarterly servicer remittance data into the system.
• Obtain and review payoff information to ensure timely repayments and net remittance.
• Prepare wire memos for borrower draws, expenses, and intercompany transfers.
• Reconcile daily cash activity with system records.
• Attend new loan pre-close meetings and onboard new assets into the system.
• Review loan modification and maturity extension documents and update terms.
• Interact with servicers, asset managers, and financing counterparties.
• Coordinate with BREDS offshore operations and integrate into Brio workflows.
• Facilitate KYC requests and prepare monthly/quarterly analytics for senior management.
• Participate in team calls and investment vehicle meetings with Blackstone teams.
