Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team in London Gatwick. You will develop cost plans and estimates for projects up to £10 million and assist with larger value schemes, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver value for passengers.

You will manage budgets, contract communications, and procurement considerations, while leveraging NEC/JCT knowledge in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. A strong QS background is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cost engineer, contract management or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors, working on projects typically over £10 million
• Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field
• Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools (e.g. Cemar)
• Thorough understanding of the NEC and JCT suite of contracts, and associated contract administration and negotiations

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining cost plans and cost estimates for smaller projects (typically up to £10 million)
• Supporting a Senior Quantity Surveyor with larger value projects
• Managing project budget and ensuring value for money
• Handling contract communications, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
