Job summary

Honeywell Building Automation is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial guidance on construction projects at Gatwick/Heathrow. You will help ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery while developing strategies to protect margins and optimise working capital.

This hybrid role (3 days on site, 2 days remote) involves travel to client sites and close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to manage budgets, claims and variations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying / Project Commercial Management in construction.
• Experience with standard and bespoke contracts and applicable statute.
• Track record in developing and executing project commercial strategies.
• Ability to develop claims and recoveries for upstream and downstream.
• Proficient reporting in Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and execute project commercial strategies and monitor budget, estimate and completion and S-curve analysis.
• Guide and influence the Project Manager on commercial risks and opportunities; handle claims and variations.
• Maximise margins and improve working capital; prepare payments and accounts.
• Appraisal and response to sub-contractor and supplier applications and claims; prepare Pre-Contract Schedules of Rates.
