Job summary

Zoonou is seeking a Test Analyst to join our close-knit team. You’ll explore software performance from a user perspective, identify issues, and deliver insights that improve digital experiences across projects and industries.

On typical projects you’ll develop test plans, log defects in JIRA/Azure DevOps, and collaborate in Agile environments. You’ll mentor juniors, report progress, and continuously evolve testing practices at Zoonou.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in software testing, ideally across varied projects or environments.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and where testing adds value.
• Confidence working in Agile or Scrum environments, collaborating closely with developers and delivery teams.
• Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - you enjoy digging into why something fails, not just reporting that it does.
• Clear, calm communication to explain complex findings to non-technical people and build client relationships.
• ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent knowledge).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to understand what success looks like for their product.
• Create clear, effective test plans that align with project goals and timelines.
• Log and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring issues are clearly documented and reproducible.
• Work within Agile sprints, contributing to stand-ups, retros, and planning sessions.
• Provide honest, constructive feedback to developers, designers, and PMs - you’re not just finding bugs, you’re improving outcomes.
• Share testing progress through daily or weekly reports, and flag risks early to keep everyone aligned.
• Support junior testers by reviewing test cases, pairing up on exploratory sessions, and helping them grow their confidence and skills.
• Keep up with the latest tools and approaches - whether that’s investing time in automation, exploring load testing, or improving your test documentation.
