Lorien is seeking a QA Engineer for a market-leading online gambling business in Manchester. The role is hybrid (2 days in the office).

You will work with Developers, Product teams and Tech Leads to embed quality across the SDLC, focusing on backend, API, and data integrity testing to ensure robust, scalable platforms used by thousands of customers. You’ll perform exploratory testing, contribute to observability-led quality through metrics and logging, and support automation initiatives in a

Qualifications

• Experience with QA in SDLC environments.
• Experience in Agile or Kanban delivery processes.
• Hands-on backend, API and database testing.

Responsibilities

• Apply QA best practices within an Agile delivery team.
• Review requirements and designs for testability.
• Execute tests across API, backend and database layers.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify defects and validate user journeys.
• Contribute to observability-led quality with monitoring and metrics.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and Tech Leads.
• Report quality risks and defects clearly.
• Support automation initiatives where relevant.
