Job summary

Lorien in Manchester is hiring a Senior .NET Developer for a major betting and gambling digital platform. You’ll work across C#/.NET, Web API, WCF, SQL/NoSQL, caching and messaging, taking features from development through to production ownership in a live, business-critical environment.

The role focuses on performance, reliability, scalability and technical quality with a mix of new feature development and platform improvements. Hybrid work with two days on-site in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with C#/.NET.
• Experience with Web API, REST services and WCF.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL or NoSQL databases.
• Comfortable with Windows Services and established .NET estates.
• Exposure to caching, messaging, distributed systems or performance tuning.
• Git, Agile/Kanban and a practical delivery mindset.

Responsibilities

• Building and improving features across C#/.NET applications.
• Working with Web API, WCF, SQL/NoSQL and backend services.
• Improving performance, reliability and maintainability across live systems.
• Supporting integrations, internal services and platform improvements.
• Working with Lead Developers on standards, design and technical quality.
• Owning developments through testing, release and production support.
