Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a meticulous Software Tester (QA) in London with a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office). The role focuses on designing and executing manual and automated tests for web and mobile platforms within the sports data/AI tech space, ensuring quality before releases.

The ideal candidate will have QA experience, strong QA methodologies understanding, and familiarity with Selenium or Cypress; knowledge of Python/TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js/Golang and databases

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress).
• Knowledge of Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Golang, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual and automated tests across web and mobile applications.
• Create detailed test cases from requirements and specifications.
• Investigate, document and track defects through to resolution.
• Perform regression testing following software releases and updates.
• Work closely with developers and product teams throughout the SDLC.

Are you a detail-oriented Software Tester or QA professional looking to play a key role in delivering high-quality software products while working with cutting-edge technology across sports data, AI, machine learning and real-time systems?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative technology business operating within the sports and betting sector. Working as part of a collaborative product engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing, defect tracking and close collaboration with developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
In this role, you will design and execute both manual and automated tests across web and mobile applications, helping to identify issues before release and ensuring systems perform reliably in production environments. You will also contribute to regression testing activities and support continuous product improvement.
The ideal candidate will have experience within software testing or quality assurance, a strong understanding of QA methodologies and a passion for delivering robust, high-quality software. Exposure to modern development technologies, databases and automated testing tools will be highly beneficial.

The Role:

• Knowledge of technologies such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Golang, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases would be advantageous
