Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a skilled software engineer to build cloud-native applications, data services, and APIs to empower the Alternatives investment team.

You will collaborate with team leads and the wider engineering group to deliver solutions that align with the platform architecture and standards, while hands-on development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support are performed within established governance and delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Must-have: strong software engineering background with production-grade applications.
• Expert-level Python development for business-critical apps and data services.
• Strong experience with Python libraries: Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, FastAPI or similar.
• Proven cloud experience; Azure preferred, AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-native applications, data services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with team leads and engineering teams to align with priorities and standards.
• Hands-on software development, testing, deployment, and support following governance and delivery processes.
• Engage with investment teams throughout the full delivery lifecycle from requirements to implementation.
• Improve automation, scalability, reliability, and user experience on the Alternatives platform.
• Provide support for Alternative Investments applications and business processes.
