Job summary

Beresfords Group is seeking a Property Manager to join our residential lettings team. You will handle maintenance queries from private tenants, liaise with landlords and coordinate contractors while keeping meticulous records.

After probation, work largely from home with four days monthly at the Chelmsford-area Head Office or a Beresfords branch. We offer comprehensive training, course funding, and a competitive salary with bonuses based on experience and tenure.

Qualifications

• Proven track-record within residential lettings or property management.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Confident, professional approach.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritise urgent tasks.
• IT proficiency including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance-based queries from private tenants via phone or email.
• Consult with landlords and provide regular progress updates on maintenance and issues.
• Report issues to approved contractors and arrange access for quotations/works.
• Maintain accurate records in the internal database of enquiries, actions, and communications.
• Coordinate property compliance and safety checks with contractors, landlords and tenants.
• Monitor compliance documentation (gas safety, electrical inspections, alarms, EPCs).
• Maintain regular contact with local lettings branch and internal teams.
