Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a detail-oriented Sandwell Plan Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Sandwell Plan, ensuring milestones, budgets and governance are effectively managed.

Based in Oldbury with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home), the role requires strong stakeholder engagement, reporting to senior leaders, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Membership of the RTPI is preferred.
• Proven experience delivering projects on time and to budget.
• Experience of managing budgets and working with Members.
• Knowledge of planning system related to planning policy adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Sandwell Plan and project governance.
• Oversee budgets, resources and risk management for the Plan.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
