Job summary

Sandwell Council is seeking a detail-oriented Plan Project Manager to join the Regeneration and Growth team in a full-time fixed-term role based from Oldbury. The post will deliver the Sandwell Plan, oversee governance, milestones, budgets and risk management, and report progress to senior stakeholders.

The role requires strong political awareness and stakeholder engagement. You will work with Planning Policy, commission consultants, and manage the evidence base to support planning policy

Qualifications

• Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute preferred.
• Proven experience delivering projects.
• Experience of managing budgets.
• Experience of working with Members.
• Knowledge of planning policy and its adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Sandwell Plan and manage governance and milestones.
• Proactively manage risks, budgets and resources with regular reporting.
• Engage with elected members and external stakeholders to secure delivery.
• Coordinate consultants and the evidence base to support the Plan.
• Prepare reports for decision-making and support consultation activity.
• Drive complex programmes through to successful completion.
