Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Product Owner / Business Analyst for a hybrid role based in Leeds. You will own and prioritise the product backlog, bridging business needs with an external development partner and ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into actionable features.

You will act as the key decision-maker for supplier-led delivery, support sprint reviews, testing and go-live, and manage senior stakeholder expectations across directors and C‑suite levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Product Owner or BA hybrid.
• Strong Agile / Scrum backlog management experience.
• Experience working with an external development/delivery partner.
• Excellent requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Excellent user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical needs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with Directors and C-suite.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog to deliver a compliant system on time.
• Act as the link between business stakeholders and the external development team.
• Act as decision‑maker for supplier‑led delivery and ensure clear priorities.
• Translate business/regulatory requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Interpret solution designs and ensure delivery meets business outcomes.
• Collaborate with the external partner throughout delivery.
• Support sprint reviews, testing and go‑live acceptance.
• Make prioritisation trade‑offs within fixed timelines and budgets.
• Manage relationships across business, compliance, operations and technical teams.
• Influence Directors and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Handle challenging stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
• Support Agile ceremonies and keep delivery aligned to priorities.
