Job summary

Pineapple Recruitment are partnering with an award-winning West Midlands client to recruit a Procurement Business Partner. This senior role leads end-to-end indirect sourcing, champions process improvement and acts as a strategic partner to internal business leaders.

The position is full-time, permanent, with a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 and hybrid working requiring 1-2 days in the office. Based in Birmingham, you will align purchasing with objectives, drive value creation, manage contract

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience leading end-to-end procurement processes.
• Thorough understanding of procurement strategies, cost drivers and market trends.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills; proficiency in procurement software.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with internal business units to align purchasing activities with company objectives and champion the procurement function to unlock commercial opportunities.
• Drive efficiency and transparency across the department by refining core procurement workflows and systems.
• Evaluate procurement metrics, track market trends, and report on KPIs to identify savings opportunities and support data-led executive decisions.
• Build strong relationships across key business areas to understand operational needs, drive commercial value, and position Procurement as a trusted strategic partner.
• Lead contract negotiations and oversight to secure high-value commercial terms and ensure long-term value delivery.
• Enforce adherence to internal policies, procedural frameworks, and external regulatory standards across all sourcing activities.
