Job summary

National Probation Service in the UK is recruiting Probation Officers to assess and manage risk, supervise individuals on community orders and licences, and prepare reports for courts and the Parole Board. Hybrid working is available depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English; Welsh for Wales where specified.

Responsibilities

• Undertake offender management work with probationers at all risk levels, including high risk.
• Provide professional advice and assessment, including reports for courts and the Parole Board.
• Supervise probationers on community orders, licences and custodial sentences.
• Contribute to risk management and work with partner agencies and victims.
• Attend meetings and represent the Probation Service at MAPPA and MARAC.
• Maintain records and provide cover across teams using computer systems.
