Job summary

Verizon is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect in EMEA to join our Presales Engineering team. In this hybrid role you’ll collaborate with global organisations to design complex solutions, identify opportunities, and build trusted relationships with enterprise accounts while aligning customer objectives with Verizon capabilities.

You’ll own the technical relationship, present proposals, deliver proof-of-concept work, and travel 25–50% to client sites and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience as a pre-sales solution architect for a managed services provider with multinational clients.
• Direct interaction with customer stakeholders as part of a sales process.
• Experience architecting and developing network and cybersecurity solutions for large enterprises and RFP responses.
• Knowledge of SDN, routing, VPNs and firewalls; data security in business contexts.
• Experience across SDN, IT infrastructure, cloud or network systems management, or business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities and develop strategies to leverage technology to meet objectives.
• Recommend integration strategies, architectures, platforms and infrastructure for full solutions.
• Own the technical relationship with Verizon customers including briefings and proof-of-concept work.
• Coordinate with customers to create solutions and use cases leveraging Verizon portfolio.
• Position Verizon Business as a thought leader on key technological developments.
• Continuously expand technical knowledge to deliver high-quality services and solutions.
• Travel to client sites and events to represent Verizon as required.
