Job summary

A long-standing, multi-service law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Practice Manager to support the continued development and smooth running of its Bury office. The role offers hybrid working and a broad remit across operations, finance and people.

Working with the senior leadership team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, manage and develop staff, monitor budgets and billing, support compliance and risk management, and identify process improvements to drive growth and client

Qualifications

• Experience in a Practice Manager/Office Manager role within a law firm.
• Commercially aware with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership of the running and development of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day office operations and support the management team.
• Manage and develop support staff including recruitment and training.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, billing and cash collection.
• Support compliance, risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Review and improve internal processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with fee earners to improve operational efficiency.
• Support HR and people-related matters across the practice.
• Liaise with external suppliers and professional advisers.
• Prepare management information and reports for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for growth and improvement across the business.
