Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a PR and External Communications Manager to lead proactive media relations and storytelling across earned, owned and social channels. The role requires travel to our HQ in Northampton and offices in London and Manchester, with a hybrid, full-time schedule.

The role connects national priorities with authentic stories, partnering with HR, Internal Communications, and Talent Acquisition to strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Strong in-house or agency PR/communications experience at manager level.
• Proven track record of generating positive coverage and campaigns across media.
• Experience of integrated PR, social and content planning and understanding impact evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a PR and external communications plan for nursery and Work&Life businesses.
• Create a pipeline of stories and campaigns for local and national media.
• Build relationships with journalists and influencers; secure coverage.
• Collaborate with operations, HR and marketing to adapt stories for channels.
• Raise the profile of Work&Life through client and employee stories and executive commentary.
• Plan cross-channel storytelling with social media and content teams.
