Job summary

The University of Manchester’s Defence Materials Centre of Excellence (DMEx) invites applications for PMO Project Coordinators to support reporting, governance and day-to-day operations across a diverse research portfolio.

Based at the Royce Institute with hybrid working (two days on site), successful candidates will coordinate meetings, manage documentation, and help drive programme delivery alongside internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently using initiative under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support tracking of high-volume research activity funded through the centre, coordinating progress with internal/external staff.
• Participate in project review meetings, presenting updates on finances and progress vs plans and risks.
• Provide non-financial project administration including file setup, documentation, and reporting requirements.
