Job summary

Risk Ledger in the United Kingdom is looking for a Platform Engineer/SRE to build scalable cloud infrastructure and improve developer experience for a growing SaaS security platform.

You will work across AWS and GCP, using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling to deliver reliable software. The role emphasises security, observability, and collaboration with product, engineering and security teams to ship value quickly and safely.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
• Experience working in engineering teams building a customer-focused SaaS product.
• Good working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP), infrastructure automation tools (Terraform or similar).
• Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker).
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and logging stacks (Grafana stack: Prometheus, Loki, Tempo; OpenTelemetry).
• Understanding of networking and distributed systems.
• Understanding of security and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS (primary) and GCP.
• Develop pipelines, tooling and internal platforms to accelerate product delivery.
• Enhance developer experience with self-service tooling and standardised platforms.
• Support reliability and SRE principles, incident response and SLI/SLO/SLAs.
• Embed shift-left security across CI/CD pipelines and product workflows.
• Contribute to a strong security posture with vulnerability management and threat modelling.
• Move fast with a high quality bar through testing and automation.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues, growing technical and architectural skills.
• Support AI/ML platform tooling and observability tooling as needed.
